ADVANCED TRAINING COURSE (ATC)

“Gender Mainstreaming in Counter-terrorism Efforts in Western Balkans”

The Advanced Training Course (ATC) aims to promote the gender-related issues in the security sector in the region of Western Balkans, to increase understanding about the valuable role of women in enhancing the counter-terrorism (CT) and preventing/countering violent extremism (P/CVE) efforts and to contribute to wider and more substantial responsibilities of women in these processes.

The ATC (envisioned as five-day training) brings together experts and decision makers from the relevant state institutions in the region and NATO countries, civil servants and NGOs, policymakers and practitioners and seeks to provide a forum for discussion and sharing best practices for the incorporation of gender approaches in CT and CVE, but also for the promotion of equality women in defense and security sectors in Western Balkans.
