Prior to appointment at the position of the Minister of Defence of Montenegro in December 2020, Dr. Olivera Injac, has been engaged as a Professor at the University of Donja Gorica, at the Security Studies Programme. Since 2008, she was Professor for the national and international security, security risks and security culture. From 2011 to 2016, served as Chair of the Program for Security Studies.
Prior to her academic career, she worked at the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro, from 2000 to 2008.
Dr. Injac is an author of scientific monographies, book chapters, as well as of numerous scientific articles from the field of security. She delivered numerous scientific and expert presentations and speeches at scientific conferences and education programs, both in the country and abroad. Dr. Injac is guest lecturer at several universities and international institutions.
She is also member of editorial board of magazine Slovenian Ministry of Defence „Contemporary Military Challenges “, as well as a member of the international scientific board of magazine Ministry of Defence of the Republic of North Macedonia „Contemporary Macedonian Defence “.
Actively participates in national and international scientific and research projects (e.g. NATO SPS, PfP DEEP, Erasmus, etc.).
Dr. Injac is engaged as the expert-consultant for national and international institutions.
Minister Injac speaks English and Russian language.
