Dr. Carola García-Calvo is a Senior Analyst in the Programme on Violent Radicalisation and Global Terrorism at the Elcano Royal Institute and Associate Professor at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), both in Madrid. She was also Scientific Coordinator of the EU-Horizon 2020 Project ‘Developing a comprehensive approach to violent radicalisation in the EU from early understanding to improving protection’, MINDb4ACT which was concluded in 2020. Currently, she is involved in RAN-Lot 2 policy support project as co-lead of the Functional Unit on research. She holds a PhD with honours in Political Science from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), an MA in Democracy and Government from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), an MA in Globalisation from the Instituto Universitario de Investigación Ortega y Gasset and an MA in Foreign Affairs from Manchester University.
